Cycle Oregon,
Portland has now become the first city in the nation to sport a
european-style bike counter. It's on the Hawthorne Bridge and should
help the city get better data on how many cyclists cross and how various
conditions affect that number, and it'll also provide some extra civic
pride to Portland cyclists. It might seem like a small thing, but it
does put a smile on people's faces, and that matters!
